EEC Aged Cheddar Cheese Export Regulations

1. What is the purpose of this regulation?
The EEC Aged Cheddar Cheese Export Regulations under the Canadian Dairy Commission Act set out the export entitlement and quota allocation mechanism for aged cheddar cheese exported to the European Economic Community now referred to as the European Union.

The key elements of this regulation include the export entitlement, the CDC’s responsibilities when there is a change in export quota, the responsibilities of the CDC and eligible exporters when an export entitlement is not fully utilized, the conditions under which the CDC cancels an export entitlement and the requirements to apply for and transfer an export entitlement.
